We had an absolute blast last week getting our 3rd through 8th grade students excited for CMAS with our Hollywood Theater-inspired Pep Rally! From games and cheers to the annual CMAS staff dance video, it was a celebration full of fun, energy, and motivation. This tradition is one of our favorites, and we know our families love it too, so we’re sharing it with you!

CMAS is Here & We’re Ready to Shine! 🌟🍿
The students and staff are ready for CMAS to begin on Tuesday, April 8th, 2025 and we know this is going to be an outstanding state testing season! Please help encourage your child to get a good night’s rest and a healthy breakfast on testing days.
Our CMAS Testing Schedule for 3rd-8th Grade:
- April 8th-10th – CMAS English Language Arts
- April 15th-17th – CMAS Math
- April 22nd-24th – CMAS Science (5th & 8th Grade Only)
Our Kindergarten through 2nd grade students are also joining in the fun by competing for the Quietest Class Award each day of testing! Please remind your child to help their class earn the daily prize by walking quietly in the hallways and showing school spirit.
National Assistant Principals’ Week
I also want to recognize two incredible members of our leadership team in honor of National Assistant Principals Week: Ms. Kady Franklin, our Middle School Assistant Principal, and Ms. Tamaris Gonzalez, our K–5 Assistant Principal.
Their passion, leadership, and unwavering support make a huge impact at GVA North. Whether they’re guiding students, mentoring staff, or keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, they go above and beyond every single day—and we’re so lucky to have them!
I’m proud of all the hard work our students and staff have put in, and we’re kicking off this CMAS season with confidence and excitement. Let’s make this testing season one to remember—lights, camera, action… CMAS 2025, here we come! 🎬🐾

¡La semana pasada nos divertimos muchísimo preparando a nuestros estudiantes de 3° a 8° grado para el CMAS con nuestro Rally de Apoyo inspirado en el Teatro de Hollywood! Desde juegos y vítores hasta el video anual de baile del personal de CMAS, fue una celebración llena de diversión, energía y motivación. Esta tradición es una de nuestras favoritas, y sabemos que a nuestras familias también les encanta, ¡así que la compartimos con ustedes!

¡CMAS está aquí y estamos listos para brillar! 🌟🍿
Los estudiantes y el personal están listos para que comiencen los exámenes de CMAS el martes 8 de abril de 2025, ¡y sabemos que esta será una temporada de pruebas estatal sobresaliente! Por favor, ayuden a motivar a su hijo(a) para que duerma bien por la noche y desayunar saludablemente en los días de prueba.
Nuestro Horario de Pruebas CMAS para 3° a 8° grado:
- 8-10 de abril – CMAS Artes del Lenguaje en Inglés
- 15-17 de abril – CMAS Matemáticas
- 22-24 de abril – CMAS Ciencias (solo 5° y 8° grado)
Nuestros estudiantes de Kindergarten a 2° grado también se están uniendo a la diversión, ¡compitiendo por el Premio de la Clase Más Silenciosa cada día de las pruebas! Recuerden a sus hijos que ayuden a su clase a ganar el premio diario caminando en silencio por los pasillos y mostrando el espíritu escolar.
Semana Nacional del Subdirector
También quiero reconocer a dos miembros increíbles de nuestro equipo de liderazgo en honor a la Semana Nacional de los Subdirectores, la Sra. Kady Franklin, nuestra Subdirectora de Secundaria, y la Sra. Tamaris González, nuestra Subdirectora de K–5. Su pasión, liderazgo y apoyo inquebrantable tienen un gran impacto en GVA North. Ya sea guiando a los estudiantes, mentoreando al personal o manteniendo todo en orden detrás de las cámaras, ellas van más allá todos los días, ¡y tenemos mucha suerte de tenerlas!
Estoy orgullosa de todo el trabajo y esfuerzo que nuestros estudiantes y personal han puesto, y estamos comenzando esta temporada de CMAS con confianza y emoción.
