Volunteer
Studies show that parental involvement in a child's education is one of the most important factors in raising student self-esteem and academic achievement.
- Most experts agree that parental involvement should go beyond attendance at teacher conferences and open houses.
- GVA requests that families donate 30 hours of volunteer time per family each year to help serve our community.
- We realize, however, that each of our families is unique – with its priorities, needs, talents, and time constraints- so we try to provide as many different kinds of opportunities for parental involvement as possible.

Looking for Traffic Volunteers!
Join us for just 1 hour a week as a traffic volunteer! As a bonus, volunteers scan their pickup QR codes first, so you’ll be among the first to leave the parking lot. Plus, every hour of volunteering earns you a ticket for our end-of-year raffle!
Donations for Volunteer Hours
Too busy to volunteer? GVA North requests that all families donate 30 hours of volunteer time per year. A $50 donation can replace these 30 volunteer hours.
