We’re proud to share that GVA North is now officially certified as a Grief-Sensitive School.
On May 13th, staff participated in a training designed to equip us with the tools and knowledge needed to support students who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
Grief-Sensitive Schools are accredited K–12 institutions that are committed to creating a supportive, compassionate environment for grieving students. This certification reflects our ongoing commitment to caring for our students, not just academically but emotionally, as well.
A big thank you to New York Life representatives for giving their time to come and train our staff and helping us continue to make GVA North a safe and supportive space for every student.
Nos enorgullece compartir que GVA North está ahora oficialmente certificada como una Escuela Sensible al Duelo. El 13 de mayo, nuestro personal participó en una capacitación diseñada para brindarnos las herramientas y el conocimiento necesarios para apoyar a los estudiantes que han experimentado la pérdida de un ser querido.
Las Escuelas Sensibles al Duelo son instituciones acreditadas de K–12 que se comprometen a crear un ambiente de apoyo y compasión para los estudiantes en duelo. Esta certificación refleja nuestro compromiso continuo de cuidar a nuestros estudiantes no solo académicamente, sino también emocionalmente.
