Russian Student Award Winners

Students at Global Village Academy North recently showcased their language skills during the school’s Russian Spelling Bee held on March 12, 2026.

The event brought together students from several grade levels who demonstrated impressive spelling, focus, and dedication to learning Russian. As part of the school’s language immersion program, students build strong literacy skills while developing the ability to read, write, and communicate in another language.

Events like the Russian Spelling Bee highlight the benefits of language immersion education, where students strengthen academic skills while also gaining cultural awareness and confidence. Through daily instruction in both English and Russian, students are developing abilities that will serve them well in an increasingly connected world.

Global Village Academy North is a public charter school in Colorado offering language immersion programs in Russian, Mandarin Chinese, and Spanish. These programs give students the opportunity to become bilingual while building strong academic foundations.
