Welcome Alina Prigarina

I was dreaming about being a teacher from childhood. My mother is a very successful teacher of Russian and Literature in Russia so I chose the same profession as her. I picked up her successful teaching methods from an early age and now as colleagues, we continue to share our best techniques and creative ideas.

I am a lifelong learner. After my Master’s degree in Linguistics, I didn’t stop learning. I learned the journalism profession, I became a certified technology teacher to make my lessons more engaging and contemporary. I teach my students using my example that learning is the kind of fun that lasts forever. I am a fan of studying through understanding, not blind memorization.

I like to use visual materials and problem-solving methods for my lessons. I want my students to guess and have their own “aha” moments.

My goal is to provide the appropriate scaffolding for pairs and group and whole-class instruction. I believe that my enthusiastic, cultural approach to teaching Russian keeps my students interested and motivated. Critical thinking as a part of my teaching strategy makes the process of learning Russian their own and stay with them forever. I inspire my students to read in Russian as much as possible, My mission is wider than simply to teach Russian. My mission is to deliver my passion for learning as a style of life to all my students.
