El sábado pasado tuvimos una increíble celebración de la cultura hispana, llena de hermosos bailes culturales, comida deliciosa y algunas manualidades divertidas.

We hope to see you all tonight or tomorrow for Student-Led Conferences! As a reminder, conferences will be held on October 15th from 3 pm-8 pm and October 16th from 10 am-8 pm. If you have not yet signed up for a slot with your child’s teachers, you can access all teachers’ sign-up links here. Students will have no school on October 16th, 17th, or 18th. Village Square will be available on October 16th from 7 am-6 pm for students but you must reserve a spot in advance as we do have a maximum capacity.
Don’t forget to check out the Book Fair when your family comes by the school for conferences! The Book Fair will be in the gym class and will be open during all conference times. Our PTO is always looking for volunteers to help with the Book Fair. Please consider volunteering! You can sign up here.
Fall Break will be on October 17th and 18th.
Coffee with Administration
We will be having our first Coffee with Administration on October 22nd at 8:30 a.m. in the cafeteria. This is a chance for parents to come ask questions or chat with us about things happening in the school. We will have translators available, and we will be live on our Facebook page for those parents who cannot attend in person but would still like to listen in or ask a question. We hope to see many of you there!
Halloween/Fall Celebrations
GVA-N will have fall celebrations on Thursday, October 31st. Students will have celebrations in their afternoon classes. Students are welcome to dress in costume for the day with the following restrictions:
- No costumes with masks
- No weapons (fake or otherwise)
- No gore (blood, guts, etc…)
- No inflatable costumes
Due to limited parking, these parties will be for students only. At this time, we cannot accommodate parent attendance, so please plan to enjoy trick-or-treating with your kiddo after school.
Thank you for your cooperation and support! If you would prefer not to have your child participate in the fall celebrations, please reach out to me ([email protected]), and we will work to find alternative activities for them.

¡Esperamos verlos a todos esta noche o mañana para las conferencias dirigidas por estudiantes! Como recordatorio, las conferencias se llevarán a cabo el 15 de octubre de 3pm a 8pm y el 16 de octubre de 10am a 8pm. Si aún no se ha registrado para un puesto con los maestros de su hijo, puede acceder a todos enlaces de registro de profesores aquí. Los estudiantes no tendrán clases los días 16, 17 o 18 de octubre. Village Square estará disponible el 16 de octubre de 7am a 6 pm para estudiantes, pero debes reservar un lugar con anticipación ya que tenemos una capacidad máxima.
¡No se olvide visitar la Feria del Libro cuando su familia venga a la escuela para las conferencias! La Feria del Libro se llevará a cabo en la clase de gimnasia y estará abierta durante todas las horas de conferencias. Nuestro PTO siempre está buscando voluntarios para ayudar con la Feria del Libro. ¡Considera la posibilidad de ser voluntario! Puede registrarse aquí.
Las vacaciones de otoño serán el 17 y 18 de octubre.
Café con la Administración
Tendremos nuestro primer Café con la Administración el 22 de octubre a las 8:30 a.m. en la cafetería. Esta es una oportunidad para que los padres vengan a hacer preguntas o conversen con nosotros sobre las cosas que suceden en la escuela. Tendremos traductores disponibles y estaremos en vivo en nuestra página de Facebook para aquellos padres que no puedan asistir en persona pero que aún así quieran escuchar o hacer una pregunta. ¡Esperamos ver a muchos de ustedes allí!
Celebraciones de Halloween/Otoño
GVA-N tendrá celebraciones de otoño el jueves 31 de octubre. Los estudiantes tendrán celebraciones en sus clases de la tarde. Los estudiantes pueden disfrazarse para el día con las siguientes restricciones:
- No se permiten disfraces con máscaras
- No se permiten armas (falsas o de otro tipo)
- No se permiten objetos sangrientos (sangre, tripas, etc.)
- No se permiten disfraces inflables
Debido al estacionamiento limitado, estas fiestas son solo para estudiantes. En este momento, no podemos acomodar la asistencia de los padres, así que planee disfrutar de su tiempo de Truco o Trato con su hijo después de la escuela.
