Dear GVA Families,
Wow, what an amazing Culture Festival! The weather was beautiful, the students did an outstanding job, and having the performances on a real stage truly took the event to the next level. This celebration is always one of my favorites because it showcases just how unique our school is and truly highlights the rich experiences we offer our students here at GVA North.
We’ve Earned a Spirit Week!
Our students wrapped up their iReady testing last week, and we challenged them to earn 1,500 tickets to unlock a Spirit Week celebration. They could earn tickets by beating their growth goals and giving their best effort- and they delivered! With 1,512 tickets earned (and some still coming in), it’s time to celebrate!
iReady End-of-Year Spirit Week:
- Tuesday, May 13: Beach Day
- Wednesday, May 14: Tie Dye Day
- Thursday, May 15: Favorite Color Day
- Friday, May 16: Dress for Success / Career Day
Field Days
Our Middle School Field Day will be on Monday, May 19th and our K-5th Grade Field Day will be on Wednesday, May 21st. Students are encouraged to wear athletic gear and sunscreen.
If you are planning to attend either Field Day, please make sure to check in at the “Check-In” table located at the top of the hill near the soccer field. You do not need to check in at the front desk for this event. However, if you need to go inside (for the restroom, etc.), you will need to enter through the front entrance and check in.
Parking will be available along the back loop road (Yellow Zone) as well as the main lot. Please drive very slowly, as students will be outside for recess. After your child's specific Field Day time, we kindly ask families to leave to free up parking for the next group of parents.
K-5 Field Day Schedule:
- 1st grade: 8:15 AM
- 2nd grade: 9:15 AM
- 4th grade: 10:15 AM
- 5th grade: 11:15 AM
- Kindergarten: 12:15 PM
- 3rd grade: 1:15 PM

A huge thank you to all the families who completed our GVA North Feedback Survey! Your voice matters, and we truly value your input. We will be reviewing all responses closely and using them to guide improvements, shape goals, and strengthen our school community for next year.

¡Wow, qué increíble Festival de Cultura! El clima estuvo hermoso, los estudiantes hicieron un trabajo sobresaliente, y tener las presentaciones en un escenario real realmente llevó el evento al siguiente nivel. Esta celebración siempre es una de mis favoritas porque muestra cuán única es nuestra escuela y resalta las ricas experiencias que ofrecemos a nuestros estudiantes aquí en GVA North.
¡Nos hemos ganado una Semana del Espíritu!
Nuestros estudiantes terminaron sus exámenes de iReady la semana pasada, y les lanzamos el reto de ganar 1,500 boletos para desbloquear una celebración de la Semana del Espíritu. Podían ganar boletos al superar sus metas de crecimiento y dar su mejor esfuerzo—¡y lo lograron! Con 1,512 boletos ganados (¡y aún siguen llegando!), ¡es hora de celebrar!
Semana del Espíritu de Fin de Año iReady:
- Martes 13 de mayo: Día de Playa
- Miércoles 14 de mayo: Día de Tintes (Tie Dye)
- Jueves 15 de mayo: Día del Color Favorito
- Viernes 16 de mayo: Vístete para el Éxito / Día de la Carrera
Días de Campo (Field Day)
Nuestro Día de Campo para Secundaria será el lunes 19 de mayo y el Día de Campo para Kínder a 5º grado será el miércoles 21 de mayo. Se recomienda que los estudiantes usen ropa deportiva y protector solar.
Si planea asistir a cualquiera de los Días de Campo, por favor asegúrese de registrarse en la mesa de “Check-In” ubicada en la cima de la colina cerca del campo de fútbol. No es necesario registrarse en la recepción para este evento. Sin embargo, si necesita entrar al edificio (para ir al baño, etc.), deberá entrar por la entrada principal y registrarse allí.
Habrá estacionamiento disponible a lo largo del camino de vuelta (Zona Amarilla) así como en el estacionamiento principal. Por favor maneje muy despacio, ya que los estudiantes estarán afuera durante el recreo. Después del horario específico del Día de Campo de su hijo/a, amablemente les pedimos a las familias que se retiren para liberar espacio para el siguiente grupo de padres.

- 1º grado: 8:15 AM

- 4º grado: 10:15 AM

¡Un enorme agradecimiento a todas las familias que completaron nuestra Encuesta de Opinión de GVA North! Su voz importa, y realmente valoramos sus comentarios. Revisaremos todas las respuestas cuidadosamente y las usaremos para guiar mejoras, definir metas y fortalecer nuestra comunidad escolar para el próximo año.
