This Week's Highlights: Cultural Dress Spirit Day, Teacher Conferences, and Spanish Spelling Bee Champions

Global Village Academy North is proud to announce that Ksenia Appel-Whitney has been honored with the K-8 ACTR Excellence in Teaching Russian Award, a prestigious national recognition for her innovative teaching methods and dedication to language education. This award highlights her passion for inspiring young learners and fostering a deep appreciation for Russian language and culture.

Students, families, and community members are encouraged to nominate an outstanding GVA educator for this prestigious honor, recognizing excellence in teaching and positive community impact. The nomination window closes on March 17, 2025.

This three-day, family-friendly festival runs March 14-16, celebrating the culture, contributions, and accomplishments of Asian and Asian-Pacific American communities through film.

The PTO invites families to help feed 110 staff members during the student-led conferences. Food needs to be dropped off by 3:00 PM on March 19th.
