Tuesday Clubs

Learn to play winning chess at the GVA Chess Club! We learn advanced rules and tactics through timed games, outdoor activities, and tournaments.

 

Students will learn the basic fundamentals of playing flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone, euphonium and percussion. These fundamentals include reading music notation, proper playing position, tone production and breathing, and how to play in an ensemble.

 

Students will apply different math strategies through games and technology.

Does your student love to move their body? Come join us every week on Tuesday to get your wiggles out! We will be playing games involving teamwork, dancing, brain breaks and more! Please make sure students are wearing closed toe shoes and bring a jacket because we will be going outside if the weather allows.

 

Friends, come join Ms. Tess in her after school reading club. We will work on our reading skills by reading: rapid word charts,  short rolling stories, and  decodable books. We will expand our vocabulary by writing complete sentences with sight words. It will be fun because we will also play some reading games to end our day.
