Tuesday Clubs

Battle of the Books is a fun, quiz-bowl-style reading club where students work together as a team to read up to 10 engaging, award-winning books throughout the school year. Club members will meet to engage in fun activities, discuss the books, practice answering questions, and prepare for a school-wide class battle. Selected students who demonstrate strong knowledge of all 10 books will earn the opportunity to represent our school at the regional Battle of the Books competition in Boulder at the end of the year! Although BoB includes friendly competition, its main purpose is to build teamwork, strengthen reading comprehension, introduce students to a variety of literature, and inspire a lifelong love of reading! Please keep in mind, this club is a year-long commitment to have the best club experience.

This is a creative, hands-on, interactive club adventure where students become explorers of an imaginative world while designing and making fantasy-inspired art projects. Throughout the semester, students will create journals, maps, dragon eggs, apothecary bottles, and other unique keepsakes while exploring a variety of art techniques in a fun, structured environment where the same expectations as the art classroom apply.

 

 

In this club, students practice Spanish through fun, step-by-step drawing activities. As they create artwork, they build vocabulary, strengthen listening skills, and gain confidence using Spanish in a creative and supportive environment. No drawing experience is needed, just a willingness to learn and have fun!
